Best Airsoft Guns for Beginners
number one they are neither here nor
there when it comes to being expensive
the aeg will be the cheapest this will
kind of be in the middle between the
three types of airsoft guns you have
available to you they are not extremely
reliable and that is again because the
way the gun operates it has a full
moving bolt and all these small internal
parts and the gas mechanism it uses it's
very susceptible to dirt and debris
getting and the gun and seizing up the
action but if you are the type of guy
that's looking for a gun to maybe you
know simulate a real steel gun or maybe
you're trying to do some real steel
firearm training with it or maybe heck
you want to do like some type of
cosplaying thing and you want a gun that
while is not a real gun is basically the
same thing as a real gun in terms of how
it operates and how it looks then I
would highly recommend going the route
of the gas blowback rifle because quite
honestly you can't get much closer to
how a real steel gun functions than a
gas blowback and lastly the third option
you guys have available to you is the
HPA gun or high pressure air these guns
are basically aegs but on steroids now
while they are easily the most expensive
type of option you have available too
and while I wouldn't really recommend
them as a beginner airsoft gun they are
an option available to you and if you
have the money and you're really willing
to spend it by all means go nuts but
basically what I'm going to do is just
tell you a little bit about HPA guns
here HPA
usually has money put this gun down this
it's like oh that's all teddy how HPA
works is you have an air tank that you
usually put on your back and think of it
as like a mini scuba tank this tank will
have a line that comes up top of it and
you kind of bring around front and you
plug it into the bottom of your airsoft
gun via a little line this air pressure
will then travel through the line up
into the gun and like on the aeg it has
like a little internal gearbox mech box
type system we usually call them engines
or
systems usually and like an aeg this
system or engine will create air
compression inside the device and when
the trigger is pulled it will shoot air
through the device through a nozzle
ultimately picking up a BB and to which
it will carry it down the barrel and out
the end of the gun I would not recommend
these guns as beginner guns for a number
of reasons number one they are easily
the most expensive type of gun out there
mainly because of how hard they are to
manufacture and all the stuff that goes
into you know making these guns work
you're going to need to get an air tank
align the regulator as well as the
internal system itself now that being
said these guns the best way I can
describe them our aeg is on steroids
the reason for that being you can do so
many crazy things in the HPA gun because
a lot of these guns are actually
controlled with an internal computer
that you can utilize to adjust the FPS
rate of fire and even firing modes like
you can make these things shoot
three-round burst five-round bursts you
can also make these guns shoot insanely
fast the trigger response and these
things are unrivaled so that's basically
the three types of airsoft guns all
summed up again i would recommend going
the route of the aeg for the reasons of
being mainly the guns are very
affordable and they are extremely
reliable
number three what qualities and features
should I look at and consider when going
to get my very first airsoft gun firstly
I would look at and consider the price
here's the reason why I say you go out
and buy a $500 HPA gun the first game
you run out there and you're having a
good time and then at the end of the day
you're like and I really didn't like
carrying around that big ol air tank on
my back and I didn't like having that
line connect my gun I'd like to get
something else well now you just spend
$500 on your airsoft gun where you could
have used that money to maybe buy some
attachments or upgrades for your gun but
then now you're stuck with a gun you
don't really you're not really
comfortable with and you don't really
enjoy all that much now if we go to the
opposite end of the spectrum and we go
okay I don't really want to spend a lot
of money my airsoft gun I think I can
get this nice fifty dollar Walmart gun
and take it out there and quite now that
gun may work for a little while but odds
are that guns not going to last very
long and it's not going to perform very
well so when you're getting out there
and you're playing with a whole bunch of
other guys that have like these you know
reasonably nice guns you're not gonna be
able to keep up with them in terms of
performance of your weapon and you know
your gun may even go down when you need
it the most so when you're looking at
purchasing an airsoft gun I would stick
close to the price range of between a
hundred and two hundred dollars but you
can expand that price range or decrease
it depending on how you know your money
situation is I would not go any lower
though than $90 and I would not go any
higher though than two hundred and fifty
dollars so the reason why you don't want
to spend a whole lot on a beginner gun
is because well you get out there and
play you don't really know you maybe
have like an idea of how you want to
play from like maybe watching a movie or
playing your favorite video game but you
really won't know how you like to play
until you actually get out there and do
it for yourself getting a
middle-of-the-road gun can be really
useful to you to help you decide what
type of gameplay works for you the best
so then you don't waste a whole bunch of
money and buying a gun that only is
situated and utilized for a specific
scenario in addition to that this gun
will ultimately become your backup gun
or maybe a spare parts gun because when
you get into the sport more and you get
more involved with it and you want to
upgrade and buy better guns maybe one of
your newer more advanced guns goes down
and you go oh what's this thing I got my
beginner gun that I got
the start and now I can use it as a
backup gun so in summer you can utilize
this gun to ultimately decide how you
like to play airsoft and what your
preferred style of play is and you can
utilize it in the future as a backup gun
flash spare parts gun that brings me to
my next talking point which is FPS which
stands for feet per second now this is
an important thing to consider because
here in the United States this is
generally the standards that we use to
judge how hard a gun shoots now at 90
percent of airsoft fields the legal FPS
limit that you can use on your guns
without them being subject to
restrictions or not even being allowed
for that matter is about 400 feet per
second if you're going to shooting under
400 feet per second your gun in like 90
percent of fields should be a-okay if
it's shooting over 400 feet per second
your gun may still be allowed at this
field but you may be subject to some
either some extreme regulations on your
gun as to how you can utilize it in
terms like maybe you can't shoot this
guy within 100 feet or something like
that or your gun might not even be
allowed at all so when you're looking at
online gun also take into consideration
where you're going to be playing now as
I was just saying if you do get an AEG
you're going to need to purchase a
battery and a charger you have to be
aware of what you're getting because a
lot of these guns come with a charger
and a battery and you go well great now
I don't have to worry about buying if
you're getting an Ag I don't have to
worry about buying those things
separately well here's the thing if you
get a gun that comes with a charger and
a battery
it may seem nice but do you know the
quality of the charger and battery so
what I would recommend going out and
doing would be don't pay attention to
all that stuff they add on to the gun to
make it seem like more enticing pay
attention to the attributes solely of
the gun and then go out and buy your own
battery go out and buy your own smart
charger and go out and buy your own
magazines that way you're getting
exactly what you want and exactly what
you need for your gun now as for what
kind of charger and battery you're going
to need that really depends on the kind
of gun you're utilizing so you might
need to go watch a couple other videos
on the specific gun you're purchasing to
determine which one you want but make
sure you read all the details and
description of your done before you
purchase all the aftermarket upgrades
and accessories or anything you want to
put onto your gun
number four what guns do I have access
to and really the simple answer to that
question is all of them the beauty about
airsoft is there are so many different
types of guns you have available to you
any real gun you can think of or any gun
you see in a movie or from your favorite
video game will likely be available in
airsoft guns form number one thing I
would recommend looking into is does
this gun take m4 / m16 style mags for
example this scar right here the scar L
it look does it look like an m4 doesn't
look like an m16 but it takes m4 / m16
style magazines and that is a general
trend you will find in the airsoft world
a lot of these different guns are
designed to take m4 / m16 style
magazines because they are so common and
this actually holds true for a lot of
real steel firearms as well also the
majority of airsoft players out there on
the field will be using a gun that takes
m4 flash m16 style magazines so say you
run out of ammo in the middle of a game
when you go hey can you talk to me
magazines odds are that your teammates
sitting over there is going to have
magazines that are going to fit inside
your gun if you have an 8k or a g36 for
example may not be able to talk to you
magazine now again this is a very minor
concern but you're not just something
else to consider but ultimately one of
the biggest things to consider when you
get a gun that takes m4 / m16 style
magazines is the advantage that you will
have when you go out to buy potentially
future airsoft guns that take the same
style magazines so in a sense you don't
have to go out and reinvent the wheel
and go get a whole bunch of different
magazines that will fit your new gun
odds are the gun the magazines that
we're using in your previous gun will
fit in your new guns so you don't have
to go out and buy a whole bunch of
different magazines in order to again
fit that new gun you got now as far as
gun brands go we would personally
recommend G&G; Elite Force kwa vfc G&P;
classic army and Lancer tactical these
are all gun brands that we have used and
can personally vouch for now there are
plenty of other great brands out there
to choose from that we did not list but
these are the ones that we've had good
is with or currently use and lastly if
you aren't really too dead set aren't
really too sure what type of gun you
want to go to I will steer you in the
route of going with an m4 now the reason
why I recommend an m4 is because they
are so upgradable a great example would
be one of my personal custom guns this
is one of my custom long range guns the
DMR platform this is an m4 / m16 style
gun it does take m16 style mags now if
you'll notice I put an upgraded stock on
the gun I've attached a rail and because
I have a successor accessory rail on the
top and this monolithic rail all the way
down the top of my gun I have all these
different options and different ways to
attach any potential accessory or part
on to my gun you can either purchase a
gun though might be a little more
expensive at first fully upgraded like
this one or you can get your beginner
gun and then as time progresses you can
add parts onto it and upgrade it for
yourself now again you can do this with
a lot of different other guns I'm not
saying you can't do that at all I'm not
trying to suede you away from going that
route but I do feel with an m4 system
you actually do have a lot more options
available too in terms of what you can
do to it
so it's because of those reasons I will
potentially steer you in the route of an
m4 for your first weapon platform to
choose from
all right guys so all that being said
here is my personal opinion on what I
think is the best beginner airsoft gun
and that gun is drumroll please the G&G;
combat machine Raider these guns are
absolutely fantastic for what they are
so this gun is beautifully priced at
only a hundred and fifty dollars so it
falls right between that one hundred to
two hundred dollar price range this gun
shoots between 350 and 370 feet per
second making it ideal FPS for being
legal at the field you will play it as
well as having you know enough energy
behind that shot to make sure that when
you're shooting your bb's are getting
significant range out of them this gun
is also extremely lightweight you can
hold it up which is one hand and that's
primarily because the body is composed
of high-quality polymer it's actually
very durable so that's how they're able
to cut down the price they're not using
a full metal body receiver but it's
still very strong and it can withstand
being dropped and beating around trust
me meet myself and a lot of the other
members of the team themselves have been
using this gun very extensively and in
very harsh conditions throughout playing
airsoft it's actually a lot of our team
members backup gun specifically because
a lot of the guys actually started out
utilizing this gun and to this day
they're still running very very well
there's nice thing too about the G&G;
combat machine Raider is that it comes
in both tan like the one you see here
and also in black in addition to that
you can also get both tan and black in a
long-barrel version or a CQB version
with a shortened barrel and I think the
CQB version even shoots a little softer
too so if you have a really restrictive
CQB field you can only play it you
should be covered there as well a little
disclaimer though when you purchase this
gun you do not get the tan holographic
sight this specific magazine or the
specific grip here this is an angle fork
on the foreign but the reason why I put
these attachments on is just to kind of
give you guys an example of what you can
potentially do to your gun to make it
look a lot cooler and perform a little
better as well so for example stuff you
could upgrade on this gun would be in
the pistol grip you could change the
stock out maybe remove your rear iron
sight and put some type of optic on it
it doesn't necessarily have to be an
EOTech can be any type of sight you like
you can put maybe a light or a laser on
this quadrate quad rail you have right
here or maybe even some type of grip so
you can use this gun to reach out to
medium
and you can utilize it in short ranges
so what this allows you to do is kind of
play around with it and decide what you
like to end up doing an airsoft so you
use this gun decide I don't really like
getting up close I like staying further
back then you maybe make your next
purchase a little more geared towards
long-range and game it's engagements
rather and/or on the flip side of that
coin maybe you like really like getting
up close and personal you can utilize
this gun for that as well
but you decide hit maybe for my next gun
I want this going to be a lot shorter
and you maybe like a PDW or submachine
gun because I really like to get in
close-quarter situations again you can
use this gun as a stepping stone to may
even get to that decision you want to
make in the future but yeah guys this is
my top recommendation for the best
beginner airsoft gun in my personal
opinion I just think everything is there
the price is right where it should be
the FPS is right where it should be you
got a whole bunch of different options
in terms of colors in terms of barrel
lengths in terms of different options
too you can get these guns and higher
quality versions ranging from 200 to 200
plus price ranges it's durable it's
reliable what can I say about it's just
a great gun overall a couple all these
great things for the fact that myself
and a lot of the other guys in the team
have had a very good experience with
this gun and you just have a great pick
for what I believe to be the best
beginner airsoft gun but guys that about
